Deep-Sea Salvage

Last updated: September 2026

The short version

Deep-Sea Salvage does not collect, store, share or sell any personal information, and we run no servers. The game uses only your own platform's services: the App Store or Google Play for purchases, Game Center or Google Play Games for leaderboards and achievements, and your own iCloud or Google account to keep your progress in step between your devices. Nothing is ever sent to us.

What the game keeps on your device

To remember your progress the game saves a small file on your device: your pearls, upgrades, unlocks, missions, settings and best depths. It is removed when you delete the game (unless a copy is kept in your cloud, below).

Leaderboards and achievements

If you are signed in to Game Center (iPhone and iPad) or Google Play Games (Android), the game sends your best depth in each level, your Daily Dive depth and the achievements you earn to that service, so they can be shown on its leaderboards and in your profile. Other players see your scores under the name you use there. This is handled by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies; we never see your name or account. If you are not signed in, nothing is sent.

Cloud save

So that your progress follows you between your own devices, the game keeps a copy of its save file in your own iCloud account (iPhone and iPad) or, on Android, in Google Play Games (if you are signed in) and in your Android device backup. Only you can reach it, and we never see it. So that progress made on two devices can be added up correctly, the copy includes a short code for each of your devices, made from your device (it is not your device's identifier and cannot be turned back into it). You can turn iCloud or backups off for the game in your device's settings.

What we do not do

Purchases

You can buy the full game and cosmetic packs inside the game. The payment is handled by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies. We never see your payment details, name or account. The game only remembers, on your device, which items you own, and asks the store to confirm them so that purchases can be restored on a new device.

Store diagnostics

If you have chosen to share diagnostics and usage data with app developers in your Apple or Google settings, the App Store or Google Play may give us anonymous crash and performance statistics. They do not identify you, and we do not collect them ourselves.

Children

Because we collect no information at all, we collect none from children either. Leaderboards and achievements follow the age settings of Game Center and Google Play Games.

Changes

If this ever changes, for example if a future version adds more online features, this page will be updated first and the store listing will say so.
