DEEP-SEA SALVAGE
Dive. Salvage. Don't be eaten.
A one-touch underwater runner. Hold to swim up, let go to sink, and thread a tiny diver through an ocean that gets darker, stranger and hungrier the deeper you go. Grab air, gather pearls, and never let the Lurker catch you.
Free to start. No ads. Works offline.
One touch. That's the whole controller.
Easy to learn in ten seconds. Hard to master a thousand metres down.
Hold to rise
Press anywhere and your diver swims up. Let go and it sinks. Steer through the gaps by touch alone.
Grab air and pearls
Your air is always running out. Bubbles keep you alive, every hit costs you time, and pearls buy everything in your base.
Outrun the Lurker
A giant anglerfish is always behind you. Stumble and it closes in. Tap DASH to burst away from danger.
Every dive is different: levels are built from hand-made layouts that get harder as you descend.
Four zones and a finale
The Deep, the original dive: every zone has its own creatures, its own light and its own way to kill you.
Sunlit Shallows
Bright water and gentle music. Spine urchins that never move and never miss, lantern jellies on a slow pulse, and the first rogue torpedoes, each with a warning before it launches.
Twilight Zone
The light fades and the water starts to glow. Arc jellies joined by flickering bolts of current, glass eels that swim faster than the water itself, and currents that push you forward, back, up or down.
Vent Fields
Warm, red and unstable. Geysers erupt on their own slow clock, with a rumble and a glow before the scalding column. The vents shake the ceiling loose, and stalactites drop on whoever is swimming below.
The Abyss
Almost no light. Sonar mines left by a war nobody remembers are all but invisible: your suit pings every few seconds, and a mine is lit only for a moment when the ring passes it. Read the dark.
The Kraken
Something vast has woken. A scripted chase: the scroll speeds up, tentacles sweep the corridor and the Lurker keeps its distance. Survive it for a pile of pearls, abyss crystal and a very rare wetsuit. It comes again every 2000 m.
Five levels, each its own dive
Every level is endless, with its own best depth to chase. The Deep and the Sunken Wreck are free; the Full game unlocks the other three.
The Deep
The original dive, above: the Sunlit Shallows down through Twilight and the Vent Fields into the Abyss, chased by the Lurker and the Kraken.
Sunken Wreck
A graveyard of ships in murky green water: barnacles, moray eels, falling cargo, swinging chains and tight hull corridors.
Kelp Forest
Sunlit green water and towering kelp that sways in strong currents. Touch it and you're tangled and slowed; dash to break free.
Frozen Trench
Icy, glass-clear water. The cold burns your air faster, and spears of ice fall from the roof. Find warm springs.
Volcanic Rift
Red water and glowing rock: lava vents erupt, rocks fall, and rails of fire force you along a track. Thread the beams.
Leaderboards
Compete for the best depth in each level, all-time and today, against other players on your own store.
Build your base between dives
Every dive pays in pearls and salvage. Spend them at the station and go deeper.
Upgrades
Thrusters, a bigger air tank, a rebreather, a brighter headlamp and a faster dash coil, five levels each. Plus seven certifications for lasting perks, like a reserve tank and a third gadget slot.
Gadgets
Bring a flare to drive the Lurker back, an air canister, a magnet for pearls, sonar to see ahead, or a decoy. Or start a dive in an Armored Suit that takes a hit for you.
Salvage and crafting
Scrap, glow gel and abyss crystal turn up in the deep. Craft gadgets from them and build permanent upgrades, like magnesium flares and a dual-valve tank.
Hire a crew
Four specialists who get better the more you dive together: a navigator, a medic, a mechanic and a scavenger.
Discover everything
Ten creatures and hazards to find, study and master. Each research tier pays out, and finishing the whole guide pays a bonus.
Make it yours
New wetsuits, visors and bubble trails to buy with pearls, and a wetsuit that only a Kraken survivor can wear.
Meet the crew
They ride along on your dives and level up as you do. Two can come with you at a time once you have the second berth.
Ines Varga
Reads the currents and the Lurker's habits. Plots a course that keeps it a little further behind.
Dr. Sam Okafor
Trained the lungs of half the divers on the coast. Breathe deep, waste nothing.
Rusk
Keeps the gear running with tape, wire and stubbornness. Patches the suit before it fails.
Pip
Small, quick, and never leaves a pearl behind. Knows where the good salvage drifts.
What lives down there
Ten entries in the Field Guide, each with a tip on how to beat it.
Spine urchin
A ball of black-red spines that stays wherever the water leaves it. It never moves, and it never misses.
Lantern jelly
A magenta bell that bobs up and down on a slow, steady rhythm. Its sting overloads a diver's nerves.
Arc jellies
Two small jellies bound by a bolt of current that pulses on and off, flickering as it warms up to fire.
Glass eel
Quick and nearly transparent, it swims faster than the water itself and undulates as it comes.
Rogue torpedo
A rusted relic of the wreck war whose guidance still works. A warning marks its lane before it launches.
Vent geyser
A crack in the seabed where the earth's heat breaks through: a rumble, a glow, then a column of scalding water.
Loose stalactite
The vents shake the ceiling loose. A rock trembles, lets go, and drops straight for whoever is swimming below.
Sonar mine
Left in the deep by a war nobody remembers. Dark steel and silent, and they wait for anything that swims close.
The Kraken
Older than the Lurker and far larger. It sleeps under the deepest water, and wakes for anything that trespasses.
The Lurker
Nobody has seen all of it. It follows the light, the noise and the smell of tired divers.
Screenshots
Everything you see is drawn in code, and the music and every sound effect are synthesised as you play.

Made for iPad too
The menus use the whole screen. A dive keeps the same playfield as on a phone, so it plays the same everywhere.

The free game gives you The Deep and the Sunken Wreck, with the whole base to build, until you reach a sealed bulkhead. The Full game opens it and removes the depth limit for good, unlocks three more levels (the Kelp Forest, the Frozen Trench and the Volcanic Rift), and lets the Kraken keep coming back.

Questions
Not answered here? Ask for support.
Is Deep-Sea Salvage free?
Yes, to download and to play through the Shallows, Twilight and the Vent Fields and into the Abyss, until a sealed bulkhead. A one-time purchase, the Full game, opens it and removes the depth limit, with more Kraken chases beyond. There are no ads and no subscriptions.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. The game works fully offline. When you are online it also uses your own app store for purchases, and Game Center or Google Play Games for leaderboards, achievements and cloud save.
Does the game collect my data?
No. It has no accounts of its own, no analytics and no tracking, and we run no servers. Leaderboards, achievements and cloud save go through Apple's or Google's own services, and your progress stays on your device and in your own iCloud or Google account. The privacy policy has the details.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad, and Android phones and tablets, in landscape. It is a small game, so it does not need a new device.
Can I buy pearls or make the game easier with money?
No. Pearls are earned by diving. The only purchases are the Full game (the depth limit) and cosmetic packs that change how your diver looks.
I got a new phone. How do I get my purchases back?
Open the Store screen from the base menu and tap Restore Purchases (on Android, purchases come back by themselves). Your dive progress comes along too, through cloud save, to your other devices on the same platform (iPhone and iPad, or Android).
Something is not working. Who do I ask?
Write to craig@quantidigital.com: see the support page.
How deep can you go?
Available now on iPhone and iPad. Coming soon to Android.
